Please allow your child to complete I-ready lessons at home. Our goal is to have everyone achieve 100% of the suggested time for the week. This breaks down to 45 minutes for math and 45 minutes for reading.

We will be reading ‘What Can You Do?’ this week. We will be talking about author’s purpose- Why do we write?
We will be learning about sentence structure focusing on ending marks.
Our spelling words are base words with the ending –er, and –est.
The I-Ready ticket challenge in underway! For each lesson that is passed, the students will receive a ticket to participate in a drawing to win treats in the cafeteria.
Math:
We are continuing our unit on telling time this week. We are learning to tell and write time both in analog and digital clocks to the hour and half-hour.
We have begun our Math Masters challenge! The students are excited about moving up levels. Please practice addition facts at home so that they can move up to Einstein Level!
Social Studies:
This week we will be continuing to make our ‘communities’ on poster board. This is the final week of this unit. The following week starts our new unit on life cycles.
** We have finished our I-Ready diagnostics. You should be able to log in and complete lessons. Please be sure that your child completes 45 minutes in math and reading each week. We have one day in the computer lab each week.
